Photography & Drone Flying Experience
Photography has been a hobby and passion for me my entire life. From my first Kodak 110 when I was in elementary school, to the digital cameras on the drones I use today, I love to photograph the beautiful landscape of this State and can always be found to have a camera on hand at wherever I go.
I used to be a Certified Real Estate Appraiser here in Utah for over 20 years, until in 2008 I gradually began to lose the use of my legs as a result of a previous car accident. After a few years I became confined to a wheelchair and could no longer work full time.
Over the 20+ years that I was a real estate appraiser, I took thousands of photos of the interiors and exteriors of homes and properties. It was always important to me to make sure that I took pictures that showed the important features of the properties, and it was one of my favorite parts of my job. About 3 years ago I flew a drone that my father had purchased, and I was instantly hooked. I bought my first drone less than a month later. Over the past few years, I have owned several different drones, which I have flown a combined total over 230+ hours of flight, and a total distance of over 1,300 miles (so far!).
In 2020 I became a FAA Certified UAS (Unmanned Aerial System) Remote Pilot, so that I could fly my drones for commercial use. It seemed a natural fit for me to use my drones, my love of photography, and my experience of photographing real estate, to create an opportunity for self-employment. I have 3 helpful and supportive children who assist me with the business. I often have one of them along, to be a spotter and help me keep track of our drones as we shoot photos and videos of properties.
All of the photos included in this webpage (other than the family photo below) are original photos taken by the owner of this web domain using DJI drones. Also, the link below is for a YouTube channel of drone videos I have made of the beautiful scenery here in Utah.
